I am encountering high CPU usage on my Cisco 6509 Core Switch recently.
Following is way of restarting services –
#process restart tcp.proc #process restart tcp.inetd OR #process restart inetd.proc
To check CPU Usage
sh processes cpu

I see the same high CPU from these processes on our Cisco 6509-VSS switch cluster. Can you tell me if there is downtime involved in executing these commands? Or is it totally seamless from a routing/forwarding perspective?
It is no downtime .
