[error] (17)File exists: Cannot create SSLMutex with file `/usr/local/apache/logs/ssl_mutex’

On directadmin, apache fail to start, following error found in error_log .

# cat /etc/httpd/logs/error_log

[error] (17)File exists: Cannot create SSLMutex with file `/var/log/httpd/ssl_mutex’
Configuration Failed
[error] (17)File exists: Cannot create SSLMutex with file `/var/log/httpd/ssl_mutex’

Solution –
You can safely delete the file /var/log/httpd/ssl_mutex’   and restart web server.
